Upset Customer
In the state of Missouri, a retail store cannot sell over two otc cold medicines to the same person in one day. I work retail, and sell a lot of cold medicines and we have signs posted telling the costomer the law above the medicine section. Today I had a costomer who wanted to buy three different cold medications. I told the customer that by law I could only sell her two of the three. She got a little irritated, and I can see her point. She asked me what she was suppose to because she had an entire family that was sick, and two bottles wouldn't last but a couple of days. I apologized and told that I understood how she felt. The whole time she was pretty mad, you could hear it in her voice. She apologized and said that she understood why I couldn't sell it to her. She wasn't too convincing. I thought this was a great example of communication. Both verbally and nonverbally.
