Relationships

So this friend of mine is having problems with his girlfriend. She is still in High School and he is in his first semester of college. They have been having major issues because of the lack of communication between the two of them. They have recently broken up and he is really upset and is trying to give her some space, even if she doesnt want it. Now, dont take me wrong, I'm not sidding with her, but I'm only getting one side of the story, and I am trying to look at the situation as a whole. I have noticed that communication is few and far between with this couple and I believe that this is the main problem with them. A relationship will not survive without constant communication.

Movies in a new perspective

Tonigh I had a movie night with my brother, and we watched Night At the Roxbury for the millionth time. Only this time, I paid alot of attention to the communication within the movie. Nonverbal is pretty dominate if you think about it. The way that Doug treats Steve is pretty adiment in the fact that Steve feels obligated to do the things that Doug does and think the way that he does. For example, in the movie when Emily is asking Steve out, he seems intrested, until Doug comes along and blows Emily off. Steve immediatly follows Doug and tells Emily that he has other things to do. I just though that this was interesting and added "a little spice" to the evening.

Group Projects

In my education class, I am in a group with 4 other people. With this group, we have to give a presentation over a book and socio-economics within a classroom. We will present this in a few days and we are in the final process of putting all of our information together. One member in our group has decided to put everything together if everyone sends her all of their information. We are still waiting on one persons info, after we had mentioned to him repeeatedly that all we are waiting on is this specific information. Somewhere, somehow communication was lost or something. He still hasnt sent any info, or contrubited to the project in any creative way. We have spoken with this individual several times, emailed several times, and still nothing! We have used verbal and nonverbal communication, and are not getting through! What great help!
